What this site is
A comparison site for pool openings, closings, vinyl liner replacement and equipment repair across the Greater Toronto Area. We publish price ranges from public quotes and municipal sources, and list the companies that do the work.
We do not perform the work, hold the contract or take a cut of the job. You book directly with the company you choose, and you pay that company.
Where a record comes from
Every record starts with the company's own published information: its website, its service pages and the phone number it advertises. Service tags — opening, closing, liner, equipment — come from the company's own description of what it does. Where a company does not state that it does something, the tag is left off rather than inferred.
For a verified partner we additionally match the trading name and number to the business and record whether a certificate of commercial liability insurance and a current WSIB clearance letter are on file. Nothing on this site is generated from a company we could not identify.
What “verified” means — and what it does not
Verified means the business trades under the name shown, the number reaches it, and the insurance and WSIB documents were seen before publication. It does not mean we have inspected its work, that we guarantee its price, or that its licence is re-checked every time you call.
Those are your checks to run, and the directory page lists the six that matter — certificate of insurance, WSIB clearance, TSSA registration for gas work, an itemized quote, deposit terms and two local references.
Ratings
Records marked Sample carry placeholder ratings and review counts so the layout can be reviewed. They are not testimonials, they are not written by customers, and they are deliberately excluded from the structured data we publish. Only verified partners carry rating markup.
How position is decided

Verified partners first
A record we have matched to a trading business, with insurance and WSIB documents on file, sits above a record we have not.

Then rating
Among records at the same verification level, the higher rating sorts first. Ties break on the response time the company states.

Then your own sort
Choosing “Highest rated” or “Lowest starting price” re-orders everything and ignores verification. That is your call, not ours.
No business can buy a higher position. No business currently pays for placement on this site. If featured placement is ever sold it will be labelled as advertising on the page where it appears, and it will never change a rating, a review count or a licence record.
Freshness
The dataset behind these pages was last reviewed on 2026-11-02. A business that has closed is suppressed and its URL redirects to the city page, so a dead listing never becomes a 404. Factual errors are corrected within five business days, and every correction is free.
What we do not do
- Publish a review, rating or customer count we cannot attribute.
- Claim a company covers a neighbourhood it has not said it covers.
- Sell one enquiry to five crews, or sell it on after the match.
- Put the price ranges behind an email gate.
