Who is responsible
GTA Pool Contractors, an independent comparison site operated in Ontario, Canada, is responsible for the personal information described here. Privacy questions and requests go to hello@gtapoolcontractors.ca.
What we collect
- What you submit: name, phone number, email address, postal code or city, the service you need and any job details you add.
- What is collected automatically: the pages you visit, the site that referred you, and general device and browser information.
- What we do not collect: payment details, government identifiers, or any account password — there are no accounts on this site.
Why we collect it
To route your request to the crews who cover your city so they can quote the job, to answer you if you ask a question, and to understand which pages are useful. That is all. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not build a profile of you across other sites.
Who receives it
- The crews you are matched with — up to three, whose names are shown when you submit. They receive the job details so they can quote; they do not receive anything else from us.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process the data on our behalf under contract and do not use it for their own purposes.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not pass one enquiry to five companies and we do not resell it after the match.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to route the request and follow up on it, then deleted. Aggregated, non-identifying counts — how many requests a city received — may be kept for reporting.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. If analytics are enabled they record page views and events such as opening the quote form, not the contents of what you type. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to any page.
Your rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it. Email hello@gtapoolcontractors.ca with the phone number or email you used and we will respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect work already done with your consent.
If something goes wrong
If personal information is lost, stolen or accessed without authorisation in a way that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and notify affected people as required by law.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the difference is described here. The site's terms of use and about page explain the rest.
